Ink & Ladder is a professional career document writing service. We create resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles for job seekers at every career level — from recent graduates to senior executives. We also offer personal and professional website design as a premium add-on.
We work with professionals at all stages: recent graduates entering the workforce, mid-career professionals looking to advance, career changers transitioning to new industries, and executives pursuing leadership roles. If you’re serious about your next career move, we can help.
We work across all industries. Our approach focuses on understanding your specific field, target roles, and the keywords and formatting that hiring managers and applicant tracking systems in your industry expect to see. Whether you’re in tech, healthcare, finance, education, or any other sector, we tailor your documents accordingly.

Process

It’s simple. Step 1: Choose your service and place your order. Step 2: Complete our intake questionnaire about your career history, goals, and target roles. Step 3: We craft your documents, tailored to your industry and career level. Step 4: You receive your first draft within 5–7 business days. Step 5: Review and request any revisions. We refine until you’re satisfied.
After placing your order, you’ll complete a detailed intake questionnaire. This covers your work history, key achievements, education, skills, target roles, and any specific preferences. If you have an existing resume, sharing it is helpful but not required. The more context you provide, the better the result.
Executive and bundle packages include a phone or video consultation to discuss your career strategy in depth. For other services, the intake questionnaire captures everything we need, but you’re always welcome to reach out via email with questions or additional context at any point in the process.

Pricing & Payment

Resume pricing is based on career level: Entry-Level ($149) for 0–3 years experience, Professional ($249) for 3–10+ years, and Executive ($399) for directors, VPs, and C-suite. Bundles that include cover letters and LinkedIn optimization start at $219 and offer significant savings. Visit our Services page for full pricing details.
Never. The price you see is the price you pay. Revisions are included with every service (1 round for entry-level and professional, 2 for executive). Additional revisions beyond what’s included are available for $25 each, but most clients are happy after the first round.
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor. PayPal is also available. Payment is collected at the time of order before work begins.
Because our services involve custom, one-of-a-kind work tailored specifically to you, we do not offer refunds once writing has begun. However, we include revisions with every service and will work with you until you’re satisfied with the final product. If you have concerns before placing an order, reach out for a free consultation first.

Delivery & Revisions

Standard turnaround is 5–7 business days from the date you complete your intake questionnaire. Need it sooner? Our Rush Delivery (+$75) option gets your documents to you within 48 hours.
All documents are delivered in both Microsoft Word (.docx) and PDF formats. The Word version allows you to make future edits yourself, while the PDF is ready to submit as-is with perfect formatting.
After receiving your first draft, you’ll have the opportunity to review and provide feedback. Entry-level and professional services include 1 round of revisions; executive services include 2 rounds. A “round” means you compile all your feedback at once and we make the changes together. Revisions are typically completed within 2–3 business days. Additional revisions beyond what’s included are $25 each.
Since you receive your resume in an editable Word format, you can make minor updates yourself anytime. For more significant updates — like adding a new role or repositioning for a different industry — we’re always here to help at our standard service rates.

Services

ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System — the software most companies use to filter resumes before anyone sees them. If your resume isn’t formatted correctly or doesn’t contain the right keywords, it may be automatically rejected regardless of your qualifications. Every Ink & Ladder resume is optimized for ATS compatibility, using clean formatting, industry-relevant keywords, and a structure that these systems can parse correctly.
Our LinkedIn service includes a full rewrite of your headline, About/summary section, and experience entries. We optimize your profile with keywords that recruiters actually search for, so you show up in more search results. We provide the finished text for you to copy into your LinkedIn profile.
Our Basic Personal Website ($499) is a single-page, mobile-responsive site with an about section, experience overview, and contact information. The Pro version ($999) is a multi-page site with a portfolio or project showcase, contact form, blog capability, and SEO basics. Both include hosting setup guidance and the finished code files.
The Industry Insider Review is a feature unique to Ink & Ladder. Through our network of senior professionals across industries, your resume can be confidentially reviewed by someone who actually hires for the types of roles you’re pursuing — a VP, director, or hiring manager in your target field. Their feedback on positioning, language, and impact is incorporated into your final document. This is included free with the Executive tier and available as a $99 add-on for all other tiers. Reviewer identities remain confidential to protect our network.
Our current services are focused on private-sector resumes. Federal resumes (USAJobs format) have very specific requirements that differ significantly from standard resumes. If there’s enough demand, we may add federal resume writing in the future. Feel free to reach out and let us know if this is something you need.
Absolutely. Your career information, personal details, and all documents are kept strictly confidential. We never share your information with third parties, and we never use your resume as a sample or portfolio piece without your explicit written permission.
